Appointments

Appointments are usually available from 9 am to 7 pm finishing at 8 pm on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday and every other Tuesday.

It is usually possible to arrange a daytime appointment within 5 days but appointments after 5 pm are in greater demand and it is possible that you may have to wait up to 2 weeks before one becomes available.

You can make an appointment by filling out the contact form on the right of this page, by email to info@actualisingpeople.co.uk, by telephone on 07971 573962 or by sending a text to 07971 573962

Costs

The cost of a daytime counselling session for one person between 9 am and 5 pm lasting 50 minutes is £40.

The cost of an evening counselling session for one person after 5 pm lasting 50 minutes is £45.

The cost of a counselling session for a couple lasting 50 minutes is £55 or £65 for an evening session.

If these figures are difficult for you then I am happy to negotiate a mutually acceptable figure when we first meet.

Some people find the opportunity to talk so useful that they wish to continue to meet even after their initial concerns are resolved. Under those circumstances I am also happy to negotiate reduced longer term fees.

Cancellation costs are negotiable according to circumstances but failure to arrive without notice will be charged at the full fee rate.

Fees can be paid by cash, cheque, bank transfer or safely and securely using major credit and debit cards via PayPal.

The first counselling session

If this is the first time that you've made use of a counsellor or a therapist, then it's likely that you don't have much of an idea what to expect in the first session.  It's quite normal to feel a bit apprehensive or uncertain as it might be before any new experience.  You may not be sure how to talk about the things that are troubling you or where to begin.

You probably have enough to think about already, so in this video I explain what usually happens in this session and answer some questions that you might have.
